What Guests say:
We had an amazing time at Philip's place. Really well presented and appointed unit. The host was super responsive and helpful. The unit is a little bit back from the main resort which made it more peaceful yet it was really close to the beach, jetty and sundowner bar. We had friends from the Uk staying as well and they were blown away by how good it was. Thank you, will definitely return… as for K’gari itself , it’s heaven on earth".
5 Stars – Perfect Stay!
We had an amazing time at Phillip's place! The space was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The privacy was a big plus, and the view was absolutely beautiful—such a peaceful atmosphere. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made cooking a breeze but if we didn't want to cook, there were a few delicious restaurants to choose from. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Highly recommend!
Philip was very responsive and helpful. He went above and beyond the expectations of a host.

Perfect Fraser getaway! Great Villa looking out to the tree canopy. Private, quiet and relaxing
K’gari is the world’s largest sand island, stretching 123km and home to over 40 perched freshwater lakes, including the famous Lake McKenzie and Lake Wabby. Towering rainforests grow directly from sand—an ecological marvel found nowhere else on Earth. The island’s stunning sand dunes, coloured cliffs, and long wild beaches are a playground for nature lovers and explorers. It’s also rich in cultural history, with deep spiritual and historical significance for the Butchulla people, the island’s Traditional Owners. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site, K’gari is one of Australia’s true natural treasures—unforgettable, untamed, and waiting to be discovered.
Book for whale watching season: July to October each year. During this period, thousands of humpback whales migrate north from Antarctica to the warm, sheltered waters of Platypus Bay, making it one of the premier whale-watching destinations in Australia. Whether you're observing from the deck of a boat or from vantage points on the island, the whale watching season offers unforgettable encounters with these gentle giants.
We acknowledge the Butchulla People as the Traditional Custodians of K’gari (Fraser Island). We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We recognise their enduring connection to Country, culture, and community.
